− | The Senate respectfully acquaint the House of Representatives that on the 12th inst. a message was received from the Governor accompany a "Resolution" on the Pay Roll of the Committee on the State | + | The Senate respectfully acquaint the House of Representatives that on the 12th inst. a message was received from the Governor accompany a "Resolution" on the Pay Roll of the Committee on the State Valuation" and stating the objections of the Governor to said Resolutions - Whereupon the Senate proceeded to reconsider said Resolve in conformity to a provision of the Constitution: And on the 13th inst. the question on the passage of said Resolution, the Governors objections thereto having been duly considered being put, and the yeas & nays being taken there were found one yea and seventeen nays - so the said Resolution was not approved by two thirds of the Senate the number required by the Constitution to give it the force of law. The subject was then referred to a special Committee of the Senate who this day reported the aforesaid Resolutions taken into a new draft with such amendments as were deemed necessary to obviate the objections of the Governor which was Read and passed and is herewith sent down for concurrence, accompanied by the aforesaid Resolution, the other papers connected with the subject remaining on the files of the Senate. Message from the Senate. In Senate Feby 14th 1821.
