[Brunswick Academy Papers &c referred]

On motion of Mr. McDonald, Ordered that the Bill to incorporate Brunswick Academy be taken from the files of the Senate and laid on the table. Referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Incorporation of Parishes & other religious societies, ministerial & school lands. - Sent down for concurrence. -

At 12 oclock the two Houses met in convention agreeably to assignment to qualify such Counsellors as have signified their acceptance, when Isaac Lane, James McLellan, Joshua Gage and William Chadwick Esquires, came in and severally took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter upon the duties of their office. -

The following petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on New Trials, came up for concurrence. - viz. Petition of Saml. Brown & Saml. Bennet Junr. of Warsaw for an abatement of State tax. " of James Deering of Denmark praying that Elias Berry Esq. may be empowered to settle certain matters. -
