Petition of a part of plantation No 6 in the County of Oxford to be incorporated into a town by the name of Westjoy, came down referred to the committee on the Incorporation of town for concurrence - and the House concurred.

Bill to incorporate the owners & proprietors of the East meeting House in Machias - was read a 1st & 2d time & Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Ordered, that Messrs Morrill, Hobbs, & Ricker be a committee to take into consideration what additional provisions are necessary in the laws prescribing the duty of Selectmen - read & passed.

Ordered, that the committee appointed today to consider if any provision is necessary to be made for the removal of snow &c, be instructed to enquire if any alteration in necessary in the 25 Section of the act directing the method of laying out and making provision for the repair & amendment of Highways - read & passed.
