If there is to be an Indian agent appointed about this time, I would respectfully call to your notice, the superior qualifications of S. W. Hoskins Esq of Old town, who has ben [been] acquainted with that people, and their wants, and necessities for nearly twenty years.
And believing Mr. Hoskins to be competent, and as honest, as any other man of honor.
