The House reconsidered their vote of 24th Jany concurring the Senate in accepting the Report on the petition of the Inhabitants of the town of Buxton, giving leave to withdraw, and referred the subject to the next Legislature.

Mr Deane of Ellsworth had leave of absence after Saturday and Mr Hall of Camden after Friday next.

Messrs Williams of Augusta & Benson of China were added to the committee on New Trials -

Messrs White of Monmouth and Sweat of Parsonsfield were added to the Committee on Accounts.

Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of Martins point Bridge, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Andrews Bradbury for authority to change his name, was read and referred to the committee on change of names.

Ordered that Messrs Treat of Bangor, Dean of Ellsworth & Williams of Augusta with such as the Senate may join be a committee to consider the expediency of causing the number of Inhabitants of the State to be ascertained prior to the next session of the Legislature in order that the number of Representatives may be then fixed and apportioned among the several Counties, as near as may be, according to the number of Inhabitants, having regard to the relative increase of population - read and passed Sent up for concurrence.
