Senate January 15, 1823. -

[Pet: Trustees of Gardiner Lyceum]

Petition of the Trustees of the Gardiner Lyceum for aid, committed in the House to Messrs Parker, Leach & Carlton [Carleton], came up for concurrence, was read & concurred, and Messrs Bond & Dennet were joined. -

[Petition of sundry persons committed]

The following petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on New Trials, came up for concurrence, viz.

Petition of Joseph Porter for an alteration in the law respecting Hawkers, Pedlars and Petty Chapmen, Do. of Committee of the town of Warren, that their doings may be made valid. Do. of John Given 2d, and town of Harpswell that the limits of the Jail Yard of Cumberland may be lessened. Do. of Archibald Anderson 3d for leave to convey certain lands. - and they were severally read and concurred.
