To Jonathan Bartlett, President, and John Woodman, Cashier, of the Passamaquoddy Bank,
Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to appear on the seventh day of February next, before the Legislature of this State, or a Committee, to be by them appointed, at the Senate Chamber, in Portland, at two of the clock in the afternoon, and bring with you, and produce, at said time and place, all the Books and Papers of said Bank; in order that an investigation of the proceedings of said Corporation, and Directors thereof, may be had, agreeably to the provisions of the laws of the State.

You are hereby notified to appear on the seventh day of February next, before the Legislature of this State, or a Committee by them to be appointed, at the Senate Chamber, in Portland, at two of the clock in the afternoon, to show cause, if any you have, why the charter of said Bank should not be revoked and declared forfeited.
Given under my hand, by order of the Legislature, at Portland, this sixteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.
