State of Maine.

To all persons to whom these presents shall come,

[to the left is a circle with "Seal." inside it and "Enoch Lincoln” written under it]

Greeting:

Be it known, that Albion K. Parris Esquire, of Portland, on the thirty first day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, was constitutionally elected by the Legislature, a Senator, to represent this State in the Congress of the United States, for the period of six years, commencing with the fourth day of March, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, according to the provisions of the Constitution.

Given under our Seal, Witness Enoch Lincoln, Esquire, our Governor, at Portland, the tenth day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven; and in the fifty first year of the Independence of the United States of America.
