[1824] [January 26] [Petition referred] Petition of William Savin and others owners of a Stage from Portland to Waterford, for an Act of incorporation, committed in the House to the Committee on Applications for Manufacturing Companies, came up for concurrence, was read and concurred.

[Petitions referred] The following Petitions committed in the House to the Committee on New Trials, came up for concurrence, viz: Petition of Henry Davidson, Clerk of Plantation of Waldo, to have the doings of said Plantation made valid; Petition of John Hobart and others for a revision of the law providing for the process of forcible entry and detainer; Petition of Elizabeth Capen Executrix, that Harriet Capen may be authorized to execute a release of a piece of land; and Petition of Selectmen of Thomaston to have the doings of said town made valid, and they were severally read and concurred.

Petition of Freeport Lodge to be incorporated; and Petition of Palmyra to sell their Ministerial Lands, committed in the House to the Committee on Parishes &c. came up for concurrence, were read and concurred.

[Remonstrance] Petition of Surry to the name of said town changed to that of Union River, and Remonstrance of the town of Freeport against Petition of Samuel Chase and others to annex certain lands to Brunswick, committed in the House to the Committee.
