Petition of John P. Boyd that certain lands may be exempted from taxation, committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on State lands, came up for concurrence, was read & concurred. -

On motion, Ordered that Messrs. McDonald, Dennett & O'Brien be a committee to enquire into the expediency of altering the Salaries of the Associate Judges of the Supreme Judicial Court, and the Salary of the Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise

On motion of Mr. Dennett, Ordered that Messrs. Dennett & Higgins with such as the House may join be a committee to consider the expediency of amending the law now in force, relating to the sale of real estate of persons under guardianship, with leave to report by bill or otherwise: sent down for concurrence: came up concurred, and Messrs. Wallingford, Tolman & Chase were joined. -

Petition of the Maine Baptist Missionary Society to be incorporated, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Incorporation of Parishes &c. sent down for concurrence: came up concurred. - Bill
