John Fllines chaplain of the 2nd Reg[t].  V.M.M previous to joining his Regt [Rceind] [apistaner] from me in getting his out fit for which he [gan] me his order for $35 on the Paymaster of the REgt. I have applied to Samuel [t]. Henry of Bangor. paymaster who inform[s] me that he can make no allowances for outfits  without order from you. As the [Army] did not join [ther] Regt. thill afgter the [adramer] was paid he [rceind] [nothing]. I understand the officers of the 1st Regt. [rceind] [attaney] of [Moper] will you please direct Mr. Henrey to pay Mr. Mines order of $35 for his outfit -

V.M.M previous to joining his Regt received assistance from me in getting his outfit for which he gave me his order for $35 on the Paymaster of the Regt. I have applied to Samuel F. Henry [Hersey?] of Bangor. paymaster who informs me that he can make no allowances for outfits without order from you. As Mr. Mines did not join the Regt. till after the advance was paid he received nothing. I understand the officers of the 1st Regt. received advances.
