Dear Sir

Your favor of the 18th inst by

some mistake was sent to the third Regt. and I did not receive it in time to answer by today's mail.

   We have had no serious

difficulty - in our Commissary department, or in any other, since leaving Bangor. We have a number of men in our Regt (& I suppose every other Vol. Regt is afflicted in the same way) that supposed when they enlisted it was a holiday affair and that they would have nothing to do & have plum pudding & custard pie every day - those individuals are slightly disappointed - still they would have got along well
