met in convention in the Representatives' chamber at half past twelve oclock, when the Governor elect, attended by the Secretary of State and the Sheriff of Cumberland, came in, and took and subscribed the oaths required by the constitution to qualify him to discharge the duties of Governor of the State of Maine.
 
  
And proclamation thereof was then & there duly made by the Secretary of State as follows, vez. -
