An order came from the Senate directing the Judiciary to enquire as to the expediency of increasing the Salary of the Judge of Probate for the County of Kennebec, for concurrence and the House concurred.
  
I am charged with a message from the Senate to inform the House that the Senate propose a convention of both Houses at 12 o clock this day in the representatives chamber for the purpose of qualifying John Balkam Esquire Counsellor elect – and the House concurred and the Clerk was charged with a message to acquaint the Senate therewith.
