[Report concerning expense of State Prison] ined the account of the Superintendant against the State for moneys expended for labor, materials and services, and find the same to be correctly and justly charged, amounting to the sum of $23,914.35, and the amount paid from the Treasury being $23,000, leaving a balance due the Superintendant for which the Governor has not as yet drawn his warrant of $914.35. Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

[Bill] Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Kittery Point Bridge, was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 Oclock assigned for 2nd Reading.

[Petition referred] Petition of Jonathan Morgan and others to revise the Act to incorporate the Portland Steam Boat Navigation Company, was read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes &c. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

[Resolve] Resolve on the Petition of Parker Noyes was read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

[Committee on punishment of crimes] On motion of Mr. Dunlap ordered that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire what alterations ought to be made in the several laws relating to the punishment of crimes. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.
