[Petitions referred] Petition of Moses Merrill for an allowance of $ 8.00, for the transportation of Powder from Portland to Turner, committed in the House to the committed on accounts, came up for concurrence and was concurred.-

Petition of Jacob Scholfield and al. that White Island may be annexed to Brunswick, committed in the House to the Committee on Towns, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.-

Petition of Samuel Chase and als. and Report thereon were taken from the files and referred to the committee on Towns: sent down for concurrence.-

[Bill] Bill fixing the time of holding the Court of Common Pleas, in the County of Cumberland, passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, and was read once and Committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

[Report &c] Mr. Usher from the committee to whom was referred the "Bill providing for the government of the State Prison," reported the same with amendments in a new draft : and on motion of Mr. Anderson, Ordered that the Secretary procure 200 copies of the same to be printed for the use of the Legislature.-
