[Bill] Bill to incorporate the proprietors of Calais Bridge came up with amendments, in which the Senate concurred and passed the Bill to be engrossed.-

[Order for 2 Sessions day] On motion of Mr. McCobb ordered that after Monday next the Legislature will hold two sessions each day : sent down for concurrence : concurred.-

[Bill] Bill respecting Representatives in classed Districts was read a 2d time and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence.

[Resolve] Resolve on petition of John Gordon and Archelaus Lewis was read and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence : concurred.-

[Bills] Bill directing the proceedings against forcible entry and detainer, was taken up and referred to Messrs Wheeler, Dunlap and Anderson.-

Bill respecting marks on sheep and neat cattle, was amend, and afterwards refused passage : sent down for concurrence : concurred.-

[Message] The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table message from the Governor relative to the amancipation of slaves in the United States.-

[Report & Resolve] Mr. Wilkins from the committee on petition of John Attier and als. reported a Resolve authorizing the Governor to negotiate with the Penobscot Indians for the transfer of their Islands to the State, which was read and passed to be engrossed : sent down for concurrence : concurred.-
