Mr. Southwick from the Committee, on petition of J.B. Quimby &als. reported that they have leave to bring in a Bill: Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence. -

[Bills]

Bill to change the name of the proprietors of Fryeburg Bridge,”

Bill to set off certain tracts of land and certain persons with their estates from the town of Shapleigh, and annex the same to the town of Lebanon,”

and

Bill granting certain privileges to the town of Islesborough,” were read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for their 2d. reading. -

Bill prescribing the mode of trial at law in certain cases,” was read a 2d. time, and passed to be engrossed with an amendment: sent down for concurrence:

Mr. Southwick from the Committee, on an order upon that subject, reported a

Bill authorizing the Governor and Council to settle accounts with Indian Agents, and for other purposes,” which was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d. reading. -

[Deed of Warren Rice et als]

Deed of Warren Rice of Wiscasset, conveying to the State a certain piece of land in said town for a permanent seat of Government, was laid on the table: Read and referred to Messrs. Parsons of L. Dunlap and Campbell. -
