The Roll of those who performed the duty has been transmitted to me, and is herewith laid before the Legislature. -
From inquiry into the case, I am fully satisfied that the services of this company were necessary, and would, therefore, sugest [suggest] the propriety of making provision for their payment. -

I lay before the Legislature a copy of the account of Jackson Davis, one of the agents of the Penobscot tribe of Indians, for services performed in behalf of this State in fulfilment of the existing treaty with said tribe. -
This account has been examined and allowed by the Council, agreeably to the provisions of the law under which said Agent was appointed, but cannot be paid until an appropriation shall have been made for that purpose by the Legislature. -
