[Message from governor - Resolutions of state of Georgia]

The Secretary of State came in and laid on the table a written message from the Governor transmitting Report and Resolutions of the General Assembly of the State of Georgia and the same with accompanying Documents were referred to Messrs Kavanagh and Cushman to be joined sent down for concurrence and the Members on the part of the House of the Committee on Literature &c were joined.

Mr. Emery from the Committee on Banks &c on the petition of John Ruggles and others reported Bill to incorporate the Thomaston Mutual Fire Insurance Company, and the same was read once and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a second reading -

[pet of J. Osgood & als, Resolve - to aide inhabitants of Fryeburg -]

Mr. Sweat from the Committee on Turnpikes &c, on petition of James Osgood and others, reported Resolve to aid the inhabitants of Fryeburg in rebuilding and maintaining the Canal bridge so called across the new channel of Saco River in said town usually called and known by the name of the Canal and the same was read once and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.

[Bill Stone Lime & Lime Casks]

Mr. Miller had leave to lay on the table Bill in addition to an act to regulate the manufacturing and inspection of Stone Lime and Lime Casks and the same was read once this afternoon at 4 oclock assigned for a second reading and committed to Messers Emery, Weston and Miller.

[Bill Administrators & Judges of Probate]

Mr. Williams from the Committee on the Judiciary on an order of January 19th reported Bill appointing public Administrators and enlarging the powers of Judges of Probate and the same was once and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
