A message was received from the Governor by Mr. Nichols, Secretary of State, [see message in the appendix page 274.] which was read from the Chair, and then on motion referred, together with the message from the Governor entered in the proceedings of yesterday afternoon, to Messrs Holmes of Alfred, Smith of Nobleboro' & Little of Castine.
