A message was received from the Senate by Mr. Hutchinson their Secretary, proposing a convention of both branches in the Representatives Chamber forthwith for the purpose of qualifying David Crowell Counsellor elect who, this morning, signified his acceptance of that office.

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses assembled in convention, when David Crowell, Cousellor elect, came in & took & subscribed the oaths prescribed by the Constitution to qualify him to enter upon the discharge of the duties of that office.

On motion of Mr. Pond of Bucksport, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary inquire what alterations or additions, if any may be necessary in the several acts for the regulation of Inholders, Retailers & common victuallers, with leave &c read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr. Hutchinson their Secretary, proposing a Convention of both branches in the Representatives Chambers forthwith for the purpose of qualifying David Crowell Counsellor elect who, this morning signified his acceptance of that office.

Agreeably to assignment the two Houses assembled in convention, when David Crowell, Counsellor elect, came in & took & subscribed the oaths prescribed by the Constitution to qualify him to enter upon the discharge of the duties of that office.
