Gower of Abbot, Lothrop of Leeds and Wentworth of Lebanon, be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of allowing the inhabitants of towns and plantations in which lands were granted to Bowdoin & Waterville Colleges & other Literary Institutions by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts without being subject to taxation until by said institutions granted, to draw from the Treasury of this State annually a sum equal to what the nonresident tax would be on such lands as remain the property of said Institution- read & passed.
