The House receded from their vote refusing the Bill a passage amended the same as proposed by the Senate, and then passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate - The latter question was taken by yeas & nays and decided as follows - Yeas 77 Nays 37 [see appendix page 315.]
On motion of Mr Fillebrown of Winthrop Ordered, That Messrs Fillebrown of Winthrop, Dole of Alna & Bourne of Kennebunk with such as the Senate may join be a committee to report what further business in their opinion it is necessary the Legislature should act upon, at the present session, and when a recess may be had, not inconsistent with the interests of the State or any individual thereof - read & passed.
