60. Report on the remonstrance of the Selectmen of Machiasport, referring the same to the committee on the incorporation of parishes & came from the Senate for concurrence - and the House concurred.
Petition of the Selectmen of Jefferson for a Lottery to aid in opening the Damariscotta Canal, was read & referred to the committee of both Houses on the subject of Lotteries. Send up for concurrence.
Petition of Samuel Jackson & als for an alteration of the existing mode of supporting papers, was read & referred to the committee on the Judiciary Sent up for concurrence.
Remonstrance of Biddeford agnst the petition of Jeremiah Gordan & als, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of Parishes. Sent up for concurrence.
The Committee on engrossed bills reported as duty engrossed, Bill, "extending the powers of the Maine Charitable Mechanic Association" which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
