Friday January 16th 1829 [39.] [message to the Governor informing him of the choice of U.S. Senator] On Motion by Mr Usher ordered that the Secretary of State be directed to notify the Governor that the Legislature on the 15th instant by a concurrent vote of the Senate and House of Representatives elected John Holmes of Alfred a Senator in the Congress of the United States to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Albion K.
