Bill to incorporate the town of Franklin was read twice and passed to be engrossed: Sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred.

[Resolve]

Resolve authorizing the Court of Sessions for Washington County, to borrow a certain sum of money, passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, was read and referred to Messrs. Prime, Parlin and Green.

[Petition referred]

On motion of Mr. Dunn Ordered that the petition of the Selectmen of Westbrook be taken from the files and laid on table: Referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, &c. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.

[Committee on the subject of presenting frauds in Banks &c]

On motion of Mr. Stebbins Ordered that Messrs. Stebbins and Scamman and such as the House may join, be a Committee to consider what provision ought to be made to prevent or punish frauds in the management of the business of Banks and of public offices and legal trusts; with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence, was concurred and Messrs. Richardson, Wingate and Dunn were joined.

Bill establishing an additional term of the Supreme Judicial Court and Court of Common Pleas for the County of Oxford, and for other purposes having been reported to be truly and correctly copied, was passed to be enacted.
