Petition of Ira Wadleigh for relief on account of having unintentionally cut timber on lands not purchased by him belonging to the State, was read & referred to the committee on State Lands. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of James Hawes & als praying that the town of Corinna may be set off from Somerset County to Penobscot County, was read & referred to the committee on the incorporation of towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill relating to Red Oak Hogshead Shooks, was read 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a third reading.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed An additional Resolve for opening and clearing a road from the South line of Township number two, old Indian Purchase on the east side of Penobscot River to the Metanawcook Stream, which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve relating to the State Road north of the Bingham Purchase came from the Senate amended for concurrence, and the House so far receded from their former votes as to pass the Resolve to be engrossed as amended in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill to set off a tract of land from Embden to Anson, was taken up, read a third time and passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.
