Senate nonconcurred and the House receded from their vote of the 2nd inst. & referred the petition to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

Reports on the subject of fixing a minimum price to the lands appropriated for the erection of Public Buildings - - respecting the law to secure to owners their property in logs &c - that legislation on those subjects is inexpedient, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

The House reconsidered their vote of yesterday postponing indefinitely the Bill - to incorporate the Proprietors of the Brunswick Tontine Hotel - read the Bill a third time & passed the same to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

The committee on engrossed Bills - reported as duly engrossed Resolve in aid of Gardiner Lyceum, which was finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to cede to the United States the jurisdiction of certain tracts of land in Saco & Biddeford was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed marked B. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Penobscot Mill Dam Corporation, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. at AA. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Hobbs for relief in consequence of injury sustained while performing military duty, was read & referred to the committee on sick and wounded soldiers. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - additional act to exempt certain goods & chattels from attachment, execution & distress, was reported in a new draft which was adopted, read a third time & passed to be engrossed
