Petition of Daniel Rose, Warden of the State Prison, for an increase of Salary, was read & referred to the select committee of both Houses on the subject of Salaries. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Buxton Manufacturing Company was read a 1st & 2nd time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3rd reading.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson their Secretary, informing the House that the Senate have refused a final passage[underlined] to the Resolve repealing a Resolve authorizing the appointment of a Surveyor and Land Agents, and requesting a concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Saco and Biddeford Savings Institution was amended at A. B & C and read a 3rd time, and passed to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Portland, Saco & Parsonsfield Stage Company was read a 1st & 2nd time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for 3rd reading.

Bill - to incorporate the Trustees of the Mariners Church in Portland was read a 1st & 2nd time and Thursday next at 10 oclock was assigned for a 3rd reading

Petition of Abiel Wood & als that the State would make provision for the establishment of Bridge's Bridge, in Dresden as a free bridge, was read and referred to Messrs Evans of Gardiner, Potter of Bowdoin & Weed of Hope with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.
