The House again resolved itself into a Committee of the whole - on the Bill to regulate Banks and Banking -

Mr. White of Monmouth in the chair - and after remaining some time in session, the Committee rose reported progress and obtained leave to sit again - And on motion the House

Resolve - authorizing the Penobscot Tribe of Indians to sell a certain Island in Penobscot River, called Pine Island - was read and recommitted to the select committee who reported the same.

The House reconsidered their vote of this morning, whereby they passed an order in relation to the valuation Committee and also the vote adopting an amendment to said order proposed by Mr. Boutelle of Waterville - and passed the Order as follows - to wit - Ordered that the Committee on the State valuation be authorized forthwith to employ nine persons of suitable qualifications selecting one from each County excepting Washington to assist them in forming and adjusting a general valuation of property throughout the State - their com-
