[comm on time for choice of U.S. Senators] On motion by Mr Kingsbury Ordered that Messrs Kingsbury and Page with such as may be joined by the House be a Committee to report the time place and manner to be prescribed by the Legislature of this State in making choice of two Senators from this State in the Senate of the United States. Sent down for concurrence Concurred and Meesrs Adams of Portland Emerson of York and Jewett of Bowdoinham were joined.

[Message from & to the H.R. on the appointment of a joint com. on Claims] Message from the House of Representatives that they had provided for the appointment of a Joint Standing Committee on Claims and requesting the Senate to appoint on their part the members of said committee and send their names to the House. The Senate concurred and appointed Messrs Gardiner and Bodwell - a message was sent to the House informing them thereof.
