Having served fifteen months in the 2nd Regiment well and faithfully I think it is due me A Better Position and as you have a right to make Appointments from the Regiment In the field I would like An appointment as captain in the Eighteenth Regiment Which you are about to raise and the Privagle [priviledge?] to come home and Raise my Company
