[Bill making Penobscot River &c public Highway] Mr. Parsons from the Joint Select Committee reported Bill declaring the Penobscot River and certain branches thereof public highways and the same was read and referred to Messrs. Parsons and Dane with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence and Messrs. Williams, Carpenter and Kidder were joined.
[order respecting Highways] Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on the Judiciary be requested to take into consideration the expediency of altering the Law relating to Highways so as to abolish fees of such complainants as do not prevail or at least to prevent costs on complaints made without just cause & to report by Bill or otherwise and passed in concurrence.
[Resolve in favor of Tomah Louie taken from files] On motion by Mr. Hill Resolve in favor of Tomah Louie was taken from the files and referred to the Committee on State Lands. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

[Resolve referred] Mr. Parsons had leave to lay on the table Resolve defining the limits of the Plantation of Passadumkeag and the same was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
[Petitions for Academies referred] Mr. Cushman from the Committee on Literature &c reported a reference to the next Legislature on the several petitions of the Trustees of Farmington, Hallowell, Monmouth & Dearborn Academies. R & accepted. s.d.f.c. concurred.
