50 Petition of Town of Hope, that said Town may not be classed with the town of Appleton, but may have a separate Representation. __ of Inhabitants of Baileyville for an appropriation to assist them in paying the expenses of making a road from Barring through said town to Louies Island, __ of Inhabitants of Township No. 17. in the county of Washington for an appropriation for the use of Schools, Roads &c in said Township - were severally read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary - sent up for concurrence.

Mr Frost moved the following order - Ordered that the cashiers of the Several Banks in this State be directed to return to the office of the Secretary of State on or before the first day of February next, under oath the names of all the Stockholders and the amount of Stock owned by each and their place of residence agreeably to the 22d. section, of an Act entitled an Act to regulate Banks and Banking passed March 31. AD. 1831. and said returns shall then remain open for the examination of the members of this House and the Assessors of the several towns and plantations in this State, and that the Clerk of this House be directed to transmit a copy of this Order to the Cashiers of the several Banks in this State forthwith which was read and upon motion of Mr Magoun laid upon the table -
