On motion of Mr Parsons Ordered that the Joint Standing Committee to whom was referred a petition asking for a revision of the law relating to Innholders &c be instructed to enquire in the expediency of excepting from payment for licenses all Innholders who shall not keep or sell any spiritous or mixed liquors - sent up for concurrence.
On motion of Mr Steele Ordered That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of altering the law as to making up Bills of Cost for travel unless travel is actually performed, and report by Bill or otherwise- sent up for concurrence.
Mr Fessenden laid upon the table the following Resolves - Resolved that the appointment of commissioner of Insolvency under the Act of the United States passed March 2d. 1831. is an office incompatible with the office of Representative under the eleventh section of Article 4th Part 3. of the Constitution of Maine - therefore- Resolved, that John D.
