May 16th
It is raining this morning and we have not got our tents pitch. I got up this morning in pretty good season. and feel
31 pretty well. had a good nights rest. We are now with the main body of General Banks army. here is a good many Soldiers. They are fortifying Strasburg and are expecting a battle from General Jackson and his rebel army. It is very warm to day.
