Order from the House of Representatives, appointing Messrs Jarvis of Ellsworth, McCrate of Nobleboro' Pierce of Portland, Bronson of Anson, Allen of Lubec, Moore of Dover, Dumont of Hallowell, Woodman of Buxton, Bolster of Rumford, and True of Montville, a Committee with such as the Senate may join, to inquire into the expediency of passing Resolutions, expressive of the sentiments of this Legislature, as to the removal of the public deposits from the Bank of the United States, came up for concurrence; read, and on motion of Mr. Pierce amended by adding after United States; "Also to inquire into the expediency of re-chartering the United States Bank", and the same was passed as thus amended, and Messrs. Rogers, Cogswell, Pierce, Groton and Emmons are joined.
