Hon A. Coburn Governor
Dear Sir
Doct. W. R. Benson has been assistant surgeon of this regiment for the last three or four months and has performed his duties as such in a very acceptable manner. He would like an appointment as surgeon in some regiment. Should he be selected for such a position, I have no doubt he would graciously and faithfully perform the duties required. Personally I should be much gratified at his appointment.
