Resolve repealing a Resolve. Read a second time and referred to the next Legislature. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr Warren from the Select Committee to whom was referred a Bill to change a Ladys name, reported that the Committee had taken the whole subject into consideration, and having given it their deliberate and mature reflection, are of opinion that the wish of any Lady to change her name, ought always to be encouraged that although there may be other and more suitable modes of obtaining the object than by legislative acts, yet they think the Bill ought to pass and therefore report the same with amendments; and the same was passed to be engrossed as amended on Sheet annexed marked A. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill for the appointment of Justices of Trials. Read once and referred to the next Legislature, and ordered to be printed in all the Newspapers that publish the Laws of the State in concurrence.

The petition of the Proprietors of Lisbon Bridge. Read and referred to the next Legislature in concurrence.

On motion of Mr Boutelle, the Senate reconsider the vote whereby they adhered to their former vote passing to be engrossed as amended a Resolve in favor of Waterville College, insist upon said vote, propose a Conference, and appoint Messrs Boutelle
