Bill enacting the Saco and Biddeford Village Corporation, -"- to incorporate the Pleasant river, Iron and Steel Company, -"- to incorporate the Portland Granite Company (as amended) -"- to incorporate the New York and Hallowell Granite Company, -"- to incorporate the Maine Scythe and Shovel Manufacturing Company, severally read the second lime and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Calais Academy, Resolve for the repeal of a Resolve providing for the appointment of School Commissioners, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Report of the Committee on the subject of Slavery and Resolves relating to the discussion of Slavery in the State of Maine were read the second time and amended --- and ordered, on motion of Mr. Jarvis, that the question of passing said Resolves to be engrossed be taken by yeas and nays on each Resolve separately. The 1st, 2d and 3d Resolves passed unanimously in the affirmative, as follows to wit:
