Resolved, [underlined] That Stephen Jones, Alexander Campbell
 
and George Stillman, Esquires, be, and they hereby are appoint-
 
-ed a Committee, to meet at some convenient place as soon as
 
may be, then and there to confer with the Passamaquody [Passamaquoddy]
 
tribe of Indians, on the subject of the late address; and
 
that the said Committee be authorized to lay out and
 
assigned, from the lands belonging to this Commonwealth
 
two tracts for the use and improvement of the Passama-
 
-quody tribe of Indians, one tract, not exceeding six
 
miles square, to be located in a regular form, between the
 
northern and western banks of the Schoodic, and joining
 
to the said northern branch, and one other tract, not
 
exceeding one hundred acres, on the sea shoe in the
 
County of Washington. Provided, nevertheless, tha
 
the lands to be so assigned, shall be reserved for the use
 
and improvement of the Indians aforesaid. [line] And
 
that the said Indians, either in whole or in part, shall
 
not have power to alienate or dispose of the lands, which
 
may be so assigned, or any part thereof; and all conveyance
 
of the lands aforesaid, by any Indian or Indians shall be
