50 June 14th
I with the rest of the guards are to stop here at Mount Jackson this morning while Govener Haines goes with a flag of truce after the body of his son. General Fremont and his army is here at Mount Jackson. We started to come back at 6 oclock PM. did not git back to Strasburg till 1 oclock in the morning. was pretty tired when I got there.
