In some statistics it may differ slightly from the first letter I wrote. This I think is correct.

Maj. Spear has been assisting me in preparing an account of the various actions in which this Regt has been engaged, & we hope to send it by tomorrow's mail.

I was assigned to the command of this Brigade in August & paper which have come to me from your office, have gone directly to Lt. Col. Gilmore who I suppose has acknowledged their receipt.

I will do all in my power to render you information in regard to the 20th as full as possible.
