My Dear Governor

        I hope to be able to join 

my regiment some time during next week. In my haste yesterday morning I forgot to inquire of you the best method of reach- ing it, with the last delay on the route- Will you be so kind as to give me such information? Col. Plaisted of 11th & Maj. Pitcher of 4th, I hope, may accompany me. Should there be any recruits for my regiment or any other located near it I will be happy to take charge of them.
