Bill in addition to an act for the preservation of Salmon, Shad and alewives in the Penobscot River, Bay and Tributary waters (reported in the House by the Committee on Interior Fisheries, on sundry petitions) -"- to incorporate the Machias Hotel Company (reported in the House by the Committee on the Judiciary, on petition of David Longfellow and others) -"- to set off a tract of land from Lewiston to Greene (reported in the House by the Committee on Division of Towns, on petition of Solomon McKenney and others) -"- to incorporate the Central Market House Company (reported in the House by the Committee on Interior Waters on petition of Samuel Hudson and others) -"- to incorporate the Merry meeting Boom Company (reported in the House by the same Committee on petition of B.C. Bailey and others) severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.

The Committee on Literature and Literary Institutions, to which was referred a Resolve in favor of each of the following Academies, to wit, Alfred, Cherryfield, Eastport, Farmington, Howland, Parsonsfield, South Berwick, Warren, and Wiscasset, made a report asking to be discharged from the further consideration of said Resolves -- read and accepted, in concurrence.
