Council of the State of Maine The Subscribers Selectmen of the [crossed out] Bloomfield in the County of Sorrento beg leave to remonstrate against the removal of Richard Sawtelle Esquire Sheriff of this County, from office. We have no doubt, a very great majority of the inhabitants of this County, would would [sic] be gratified with the reappoint- ment of Mr. Sawtelle. The public is perfectly satisfied, in regard to his integrity, and attention to the duties of the office. We wish he might be reappointed, and we believe we express the wishes of three fourths of the inhabitants of this County.
