This is therefore to authorize Major-General Henry Dearborn to make such Certificate & endorse ment on the back of each Commission thus circum stanced, as will shew the alteration in the numerical order of the Regiment to which the Officer belongs, and will recognize his authority over the Company to which he was originally commissioned.
