On motion of Mr. Talbot, Ordered, that a message be sent to the Governor and Council informing them that a quorum of the Senators elect is present and are ready to be qualified according to the Constitution - which message was delivered by Mr Talbot.
Where upon the Governor and Council, attended by the Secretary of State and the Sheriff of Kennebec County, came in and the Senators elect, before the Governor and Council took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter upon the discharge of their official duties, after which the Governor and Council withdrew.
