I have received from the agents of the Penobscot tribe of Indians a communication suggesting sundry grievances which, in their opinion ought to be remedied, which communica-tion I submit to the Legislature for their consid-eration. The agents, together with the Lieutenant Governor of the tribe being now at the seat of government will give such a particular inform-ation as will enable the Legislature more fully to understand the extent of their grievances + the practicability of providing a remedy.

I also lay before the ^[inserted above]two  Houses the account of the said agents for services performed in the execution of their trust.
